Hey!
Here's a quick overview of my background and current work experience :)

Relevant Education & Experience

Fish Brothers Ltd. Content Creator:
During this role, I regularly create and upload content to our 13+ parts websites which each have their own set of brand guidelines and requirements. I promote the company using social media platforms including: Meta, X, LinkedIn and TikTok etc, and use accurate UTM tagging for easy tracking and analysis. I have the responsibility of creating content for our other channels such as monthly emails (html/css) and flyers. Our campaigns go out to a list of 300k subscribers which I export the data for, via Excel, Campaign Monitor and Mail Chimp. In addition to these tasks, I deal with customer-order enquiries on the daily, via PayPal and BarclayCard and am in charge of other aspects such as liaising with our parts teams to arrange projects and deadlines, creating new webpages and maintaining the general upkeep of our WordPress sites.

Fish Brothers Ltd. Apprenticeship:
Despite my previously acquired knowledge, this is when I got some real, first hand experience with the behind the scenes of web design and content creation. I learned how to put brand compliancy and requirements into practise as well as adapting to real-world schedules and deadlines. When I first got the job, I was already learning HTML and when I started working full-time, I gained a lot more knowledge on how to code using HTML/CSS and how it works within email campaigns and webpages. I am still developing my skills as I progress through my career and growing my skills is something I really enjoy improving on despite graduating from education.

Freelance Website & Photography
Built a custom website for a plumbing company using SquareSpace.I also created some of the imagery and photos for a beauty company and their ecommerce website, using WordPress.

Cardiff Animation Festival:
After I'd completed my final year in Uni, I saw that the Cardiff Animation Festival were accepting applications for people to have their work shown in their annual exhibition. The theme this year was all things miniature so I submitted my miniature windmill and a character armature I made for my final-year animation. My application was accepted and I had my work put on display for the duration of the event.
2019-2022

University of South Wales - BA 2D and Stop-Motion Animation:
Uni was when I started to decide what I wanted to specialise in and what route I realistically wanted to take for the future. In my last year we did a business module which included making a website to promote ourselves and our brands. This is when I discovered that I particularly enjoyed building websites and creating content to go onto them. I am able to start a project from the beginning all the way through to the end, as I have gained a lot of knowledge throughout my years of education.
In addition to these skills, I have an extensive knowledge of animation. I discovered that I love to create the props and characters that go on set rather than the animating portion. While I do enjoy animating, my strength is in creation and fabrication and this is what helps to motivate me in my life and career.
2017-2019

Cirencester College - Media Production:
Here is where I started my journey from enjoying my hobby to making it a career. I learned the fundamentals of media production and what the industry standards are. From pre-production to post-production we covered all the elements and made our own content for each separate element. This helped me not only understand what goes in to things like TV programmes and films, but why they are important to carry out. I was able to try all different aspects of media from short films to graphic design which helped me to narrow down the route I wanted to take in the future.
